Mahesh, The Tollywood Prince has Signed a New Mega project with the Film maker Mani Ratnam. There are so many highlights of this new venture.As per the Sources, Mahesh has met the director Mani Ratnam on Sunday at Chennai for listening to the script. He liked the script and has immediately signed up the venture.
The Highlights are :
- The movie is said to be a highest budgeted flick, which will be made bilingually in Tamil and Telugu.
- The story is based on the famous Tamil historical novel Ponnian Selvam, which deals with the fortunes of the Chola Empire during the 10th century.
- The novel comprises of five parts in which Mani Ratnam picked eighty scenes to weave into an entertainer.
- Pre-Production is happening frm last 3months @ Chennai & Kerala.
- There are 4 main characters, Only Vikram & Mahesh were signed & confirmed . Vishal (or) Vijay will do one and More than 3 actress in this movie.
- Both A R Rahman & illayaraja are scoring the music.
- Cinemotography : Santosh Sivan, P.C. Sriram & Ravi K.Chandran.

- Estimated budget : 200 Crores.
- Project duration : 15 – 20 months.
Aravind Swami will do guest role. Mani Ratnam sir is now busy in search for telugu lyricists, dialog writer & some telugu stuff. SUN Pictures Producer Kalanithi Maran will produce this High Budget movie under SUN Pictures Banner. Madras Talkies is presenting the film.
