Jeevitha Rajasekhar was appointed as a member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)
Jeevitha Rajasekhar Former Actress-Director from Andhra Pradesh, was on Monday appointed as a member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Pahlaj Nihalani appointed as the new Censor Board chairperson. The new nine board members are Mihir Bhuta, Prof. Syed Abdul Bari, Ramesh Patange, George Baker, Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Vani Tripathi Tikoo, S Ve Shekhar and Ashoke Pandit. PM Modi finally recognised the efforts of Jeevitha and Rajasekhar and rewarded them by inducting Jeevitha into Central Censor Board committee.Jeevita is the first telugu person to be placed in Censor board.
According to a government release, "in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (37 of 1952) read with rule 3 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 1983, the Central Government is pleased to appointShri Pahlaj Nihalani as Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification in an honorary capacity from 19th January, 2015 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier."
Rajashekar couple, who have been shuttling between state political parties for quite a long time, have finally boarded BJP ship. Their decision to join BJP is proved to be very wise. BJP Telangana state president Kishan Reddy appointed Jeevitha as official spokesperson of Telangana BJP.Now she got this another prestigious post. It may be recalled that Jeevitha and Rajasekhar joined BJP ahead of polls and vouched for Modi as PM. In fact, they also unveiled a song on Modi during his visit to Tirupati.

please check your facts before posting such articles. She has no connection with bjp until 2014 when a senior member of bjp joined her into the party. The BJP leadership got fooled by the couple's lies and gave her a few positions. the entire party cadre is dead against this. Even Kishan reddy lost his president post because of this reason. it was the biggest blunder in bjp to give her any posts for doing nothing for the party.
