Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has been looking for a hit from quite some time now. His Athanokkade was a huge hit and after a very long gap, Kalyan Ram seems to be back again with his latest release Patas. He is back with his latest presentation Patas, which is directed by debutante Anil Ravipudi. This action entertainer which also stars Shruthi Sodhi as the female lead has hit the screens today. Expectations among audience were high on Patas with the promising trailers.
Story:
'Patas' is the story of Corrupeted Police Officer ACP Kalyan Sinha and his transformation to Honest Police. What's the untold reason behind his Corruption and what prompted him to turn into a Sincere Officer? To Know more, Watch the Movie on Big Screens.
Performances:
Kalyanram has delivered his best performance till date. Kalyanram has hit the audiences with his energetic performance in Patas. Without relying on larger than life heroism, he concentrated on entertaining audiences through his dialogues, dances and fights.
Shruti Sodhi is decent. She has limited role and looks beautiful in songs.
Sai Kumar fits the bill as strict DGP. His dialogue delivery is an added asset. Ashutosh Rana is did well as villain.
MS Narayana entertains us as Shining star this time. Srinivas Reddy as Kalyanram's side kick helps in creating laughs with Kalyan Ram. Prithviraj, Posani Krishna Murali, Jayaprakash Reddy have given notable performances among others.
NTR's voice over in the beginning of the movie appealing people to be careful while driving on roads is a good gesture. Remix of Balakrishna's "Arey O Samba" is like a feast for Nandamuri Fans.
Analysis:
On the whole, Patas will surely end up as Kalyan Ram’s biggest hit till date. Hero’s powerful characterization and huge doses of entertainment right throughout are major assets of the film. Patas is a racy mass entertainer with an appropriate blend of comedy, action and emotion. Routine and absolutely predictable story is the major negative in Patas but it is overcomed by Entertainment.
