The much awaited movie Brahmotsavam starring Superstar Mahesh Babu has finally hit the screens across the world today. Brahmotsavam is a complete family entertainer. Directed by Srikanth Addala. Mahesh Babu and Srikanth Addala’s combination has once again created magic on the big screen with mesmerizing performance of each and every artist of the film. Kajal Agarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash are the three female lead heroines who have adorned the film with their gorgeousness. Here's the complete review of the film.
Story:
Brahmotsavam is the story of a pure relation between a father Chantabbayi (Satyaraj) and his son who values relations and emotions rather than money and luxuries. They get huge respect from the people in the society because of which some of their family members (Rao Ramesh) gets irritated. An unexpected situation leads to twist in the life. Performances:
Mahesh Babu is back with his image of lovable attracting boy. Mahesh Babu performed well and it was his best performance till now. Mahesh looks dazzling and extra smart in the film throughout. He has been outstanding in the emotional episodes.
Samantha is superb in her chirpy role and her chemistry with Mahesh is just adorable. Kajal as NRI girl and all her romantic scenes with Mahesh have been designed supremely well.
Rao Ramesh is another attraction and gets a meaty role. His mannerisms, attitude suits his character well and he does a brilliant job. Satyaraj is apt and does a superb job. All his scenes with Mahesh Babu moves you emotionally. Jayasudha and Revathi are good in their respective roles.

Technical Aspects:
Mickey J Meyer’s music is a huge asset as all the songs have been shot wonderfully. Major credit should go to Ratnavelu for his breath taking camera work. If not for his visuals, the film would not have turned out the way it did.
Production values by PVP are awesome as every frame looks rich and grand. Coming to the director Srikanth Addala, his screenplay is quite simple. His dialogues that are simple and clean. Slow Story narration in the 2nd half disappoints a bit. Instead, he should have been added some drama in the 2nd half.

Analysis:
The first half of Brahmotsavam starts with the narration of a beautiful family filled with emotional people all over. As time passes on, the movie dips down completely as it lacks the much needed bonding and relations between them. First half of the film is pretty good and has some very feel good moments. Interval bang is superb and has been executed quite well. The second half of Brahmotsavam doesn’t have the needed content because of which the film drops down completely. Director Srikanth Addala has stressed the focus on Mahesh Babu and his relationship with his father in the first half and then immediately shifts focus to roots of his family. It is like watching two different movies on a single ticket. But he should have tried in some different way to make it interestingly.
Although the movie has couple worth family sentiment scenes like the interval tragedy and the climax duel between Rao Ramesh and Mahesh Babu, the actual drama is very little in the film.

On the whole, Brahmotsavam is a film which has some decent moments going its way. This is not your regular dance and fight movie and has simple emotions. Mahesh Babu’s performance, family emotions and huge star cast are basic assets. If you ignore the predictable nature of the storyline and some boring moments during the second half, this is one film which can be one time watchable with your family.
On the whole, Brahmotsavam is a film which has some decent moments going its way. This is not your regular dance and fight movie and has simple emotions. Mahesh Babu’s performance, family emotions and huge star cast are basic assets. If you ignore the predictable nature of the storyline and some boring moments during the second half, this is one film which can be one time watchable with your family.
