Kota Srinivasa Rao Honoured with Padma Shri

Kota Srinivasa Rao got a very prestigious award from Indian Government today. This Veteran Actor acted in Telugu films anf also starred few films in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. He made his debut with the Telugu film Pranam Khareedu in 1978. He did aroung 650 films. He has received 6 state Nandi Awards as best character, villain and supporting actor. In 2012, he has garnered the South Indian International Movie Award, for his work in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.
Today, Indian Government announced the Pretiguos Padma Awards and among these from Andhra Pradesh Kota Srinivasa Rao got the Padma Sri Award. He's the only person from the State of Andhra Pradesh to recieve the Padmasri Award this year, 2015.
Government also announced 9 Padma Vibhushan, 20 Padma Bhushan and 75 Padma Shri Awards.
